Tried 2 different bulbs in 2 different 1157 sockets after removing working standard 1157 bulbs These LEDs will not work in any standard 1157 socket on an Airstream -Follower . Put the old 1157 bulbs back in and they worked perfectly. The reason may be that in the 1157 lamp, the contacts on the base are two almost round solder or lead points. The contacts of these LEDs have the shape of an elongated oval, like a soccer ball. Anyway, those bulbs didn't work in the standard 1157 cartridge. In my youth I was a shade tree mechanic. Then the army sent me to a maintenance officer school. I ran a maintenance shop for three years and eventually a maintenance company for armored divisions, so yes, I'm fairly familiar with vehicle electrical circuits and parts.
