Review on IBOLT 4327084809 XProDock Holder by Jared Coleman

I received it yesterday and am very impressed. The reason I bought it was because I had an extra mount that came with my Garmin GPS. I did a little research and found that Garmin has a 17mm bullet, which is exactly what the iBolt needs. This is my first phone holder. The phone mount was a day late, but that's not the seller's fault. It was well packaged and came in an OEM plastic case. It didn't come with any instructions or documentation, but that's to be expected since it's a 'part' and not a complete system. However, no instructions are required. It fits right onto the 17mm bullet and holds tight. I had no problem putting it on either of my two mounting balls. A trip to a pizzeria with a film showing. I drive a Land Rover Discovery and it's basically a good Jeep. Bounce, rattle. The phone never moved. A few things may not be apparent from the description and picture. First, this device is very well assembled. It's heavier than it looks and, for example, the retractable lever at the top has metal levers. The lower wishbones are pulled out. The upper arm accommodates devices of different sizes and is therefore spring-loaded. This means that two hands are required to insert and remove the device. It is possible. There is a channel for the charging cable on the back of the holder. It looks like it will run but not hold the cable. This device is supplied without a cable. ibolt clearly holds a Note 3. It also holds my Note 3 with Otterbox Defender and surprisingly my Note 3 with a huge ZeroLemon battery and case. The latter is the outer limit of the thickness that the ibolt will support. I like it! My only reason for not giving a fifth star is that you can insert and remove the phone with two hands. I was hoping that the upper would be more permanently adjustable. Without the spring, my phone probably wouldn't have gripped as firmly.
