Review on Whitmor 12 Section Shoe Storage Bag for Under Bed Organization by Sue Kaminska

I am giving this item 4 stars because it works for me. I just needed an inexpensive under bed shoe organizer with a clear cover. Although the canvas is fairly durable, this is a 100% cloth organizer with no board backing. Sliding in and out can be painful, and the sides don't hold up very well. But I found 2 simple solutions (see below) that are perfect for my needs. SOLUTION #1 is very simple. To make this item slide easily, just put a thick piece of cardboard underneath. I had a medium sized box that folded slightly smaller than this organizer. Now when you move this item, just grab the cardboard and it will easily slide in any direction. SOLUTION #2 requires a little more effort, but I wanted the sides to be stiffer and stay in place. I cut out pieces of cardboard from the flaps of the box and attached them to the 4 outer corners. This allows the organizer to keep its shape. (Another reviewer placed small shoeboxes at the four corners.) I randomly placed a few more pieces of cardboard on the inside walls, and it looks more like a picture of the product. To hold the cardboard pieces in place I used 2 staples each, being careful to insert the ends of the staples into the cardboard so as not to puncture or scratch the shoes. The overall size of the box is approximately 22 x 32 x 6.5 inches high. Each compartment measures approximately 11 x 4 inches. I wear a size 6 so most shoes will fit. A compartment offers space for 2 flip-flops or flat sandals. This item isn't perfect but with a little tweaking it does what I want so I don't have to return it. I also bought a trunk and am happy with my purchases. I hope it helps.
