Other reviews are correct, it's not very easy to use. However, if you can focus on a few things, this is actually a good little hat for the Pi. First, look at the board itself. He will tell you what you have. This does not necessarily correspond to the product description. For example, I spent a lot of time getting a TSL2581FN light sensor. My board came with a TSL25911 sensor. Once I figured that out and found the right library to manage it, everything worked fine. I also use this on a Pi 4 and had a *serious* problem getting their C demo code to compile and run correctly. The bcm2835 libraries, although compiled to the spec on the website, kept stalling the I2C bus on the Pi. As an alternative, I took the Adafruit PCA9685 Python libraries and wrote the test and alignment code fairly simply. The Waveshare website appears to be written by non-native English speakers, which makes them seem rude. If you can hack some things together, it's definitely worth a look. I plan to make another technical post sometime in the future and update the link.
