I love it so far. suitable for Point & Shoot digital cameras

Okay, I'm posting this now although I haven't used all of the camera's features, such as: B. the video option. So keep that in mind. Anyway, I have a Pentax DSLR and it's great. But sometimes you just don't want to take it and the lenses with you. So there was a field trip to Chicago and I gave up and bought a TS1. Due to my bad habits of kayaking, sailing, biking, and just being outdoors a lot, this camera had to be waterproof ("proof" is a strong word). It seemed to me the best combination of weather protection, portability and image quality. I hate tons of menus, "options" and clicks! It's good for me that a brief overview of the instructions was enough for me to get started. I found the menus easy to work with and reasonable when I wanted them. It was first used in Chicago, walking at night. I've read some bad reviews about this camera's low-light performance, so well, I thought. Holy cow, the photos looked amazing! Now it's in a city with lights on buildings and stuff, but it's still night. I was really pleasantly surprised by the level of detail and consistency of the photos. They were all hand-held, so we can assume the motion stabilization works well. The color was great too. The next day is freezing cold but in full sun. The photos look great again. The viewer could see clearly even on a bright day. He later did well in the mountain bike snow race as well. Fun. Inside was good too. I've found that auto white balance has issues with certain types of lighting. But it doesn't really matter, in my opinion. First of all it wasn't too bad and I put my photos on the computer and I can still touch them up. A little change and they look just right. By the way, I do this with my DSLR too, I'm sure most of us do. A big factor for me; This camera has a wider lens than some others, 28mm instead of 35mm. You will not regret if you have a wider angle. The camera seemed very useful to me. Of course I read the reviews and was surprised by all the negative things that were said there. But remember that the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. Also, I think some people compare it to a thousand dollar SLR or something like that. Well it isn't. Remember, we want to carry it in our bags and call them Point and Shoot. In short, I love this thing so far. It's very easy to wear and fun to use, and it looks great. Sorry I haven't dived in and used the video yet, maybe we'll explain that later. Thumbs up for now.
