I work as a veterinary technician and need a watch that will stand up to frequent hand washing and dog and cat containment. Most watches last about a year on me. I bought the Speidel Scrub Watch because it is intended for medical professionals and is said to be water resistant to 30 meters. I figured it would take at least a year, maybe longer. no This watch lasted about 2 months before water droplets started falling on the dial. I contacted Speidel and they sent me a replacement. The replacement took literally two days before the strap fell apart when I was lifting a medium sized recumbent dog. The watch strap didn't stretch when it broke, it's just very poorly made. I wrote to Speidel expressing my frustration for hours asking for a refund but they refused because the refund period had expired. They offered to send another strap. I'm not interested in constantly replacing the broken parts on this horrible watch. I was hoping that they would last longer than my previous watches and therefore not throw more rubbish into the landfill. It is clear that this assumption was wrong. I'll just eat my loss and buy another watch. Don't waste your money with this company!
