I find that the quality of the filter material is in no way inferior to well-known brands. But the shape and size is not the same as the Hoover Y bag. They are definitely wider and shorter than the original Y-bags. A better statement would be "Fits Hoover Y Bag Outlet" since the mounting box has the same hole diameter. The bag also lacks the OE plastic liner which sits opposite the outlet and can absorb/repel what is sucked in and could puncture the bag (although unlikely as it is not a standard paper bag). I love Crucial Vacuum for my vacuum product and have never had a problem. I will buy again if I find the bag holds up dust as well as a well known brand. Check them out if you want HEPA and want to spend a little less.
