1) If you don't screw in the bolt, the wall plugs that come with the product are totally useless. Finally I went to the hardware store. While it's not a huge expense, it's frustrating to find inferior parts for something expensive. 2) My speakers weigh 8.5 pounds. For assembly reasons, you must tighten the ball joint after attaching the speaker to the bracket. This setup provides a very tight angle to provide leverage to tighten the joint. My speakers eventually sagged and pointed at a 45 degree angle to the floor. There seem to be few budget options; I would highly recommend making your own wall mount out of a simple piece of wood, to which you first screw and then screw the speaker. This will save you heartache.
