Review on Portzon Adjustable Weighted Vest by Solomon Inks

Comfortable adjustable weight vest, slim fitting

Thanks to knee issues my running days are over. I can still use this weighted vest to help with my strength training, light work out sessions, walking, hiking and even when doing yard work. I can really work up a sweat.I also like that the weight distribution is even front to back Vs wearing a heavy backpack. (although can still add one for even more dead weight to carry up the hill)When this vest arrived the weights has worked loose & were all over the box. The vest is kind of a neoprene material. There is some stretch to the pockets which is a good thing. You really need to push down on the weights & then pull the top cover over. I ended up using a butter knife to lift the top cover over the weight. My vest came with 2 extra weights. When fully loaded this is a 20lb vest.If you are someone that likes to vary the weight of the vest, you may find this one frustrating or don't cover the tops. I had a Golds Gym one that used lots of Velcro pockets and changing weights was much easier on that one.I have not had any issues with the front zipper. The 4 wide Velcro straps seem to hold well. I normally wear a shirt under this. I am able to wear my hoodie over this & I don't think you can't tell I am wearing this, only look a bit more bulky. On about my 1st month with this & so far so good & am really liking this weighted vest.

Pros
  • Compact design makes it easy to store when not in use.
Cons
  • The weight pockets may not be sewn securely, causing weights to fall out during use

I’ve been working out in this for a month now and already I’m seeing incredible results and the weights on it feel like paper now. Expect to have to change the weights for something much heavier later once you’ve gotten completely used to it
