That's a good spinner.
But why should manufacturers "improve" an already perfect product? The old spinner from the same company began to crack after 25 years. It was a rope spinner and it worked great. This was as close to what I was able to find as a replacement after much searching, but it has two lid pieces rather than pulling a rope built into the lid. Therefore, despite the good quality, it is more difficult to use. Also, it's green, so it's hard to see leftover lettuce and veggies.
