I had problems with this from day one. The bulb that came with it was shorted, it was changing color on and off, not like it should, so I took it out and put in the spare bulb that came with it and it worked fine. It seems to have worked well from the start and I've recently noticed that it's no longer fighting algae so today I took it out of the water by pulling to check and the supposedly waterproof lamp housing has been flooded with water . Seeing this made me realize that an electric current had probably passed through my water and struck the fish. Luckily none of them died but I was shocked by the broken electronics in the water before stepping in, it's not very pleasant. Do not buy this to protect yourself and your fish and not waste your money. I've had it for almost a month exactly and I no longer have the box so I'm sticking with it for now, heed my warning not to waste your money.
