Review on STAEDTLER 8021 0 ST Modelling White by Sarah Liggons

I bought this clay on the recommendation of someone experienced with stop motion animation and miniatures when my craft shop was chosen. This was for a small project and I was blown away! At first I didn't feel like I could work and knead the way I wanted because the clay was very hard but incredibly sticky. It seemed to pick up every speck of dust or ruffled dog hair and hold it forever. I couldn't get these little pieces out no matter what I tried and the little pieces I formed just stuck to surfaces, tools and my hands. The baking time was also really shaky with this one. My oven gets very hot and the clay never felt like it would set within the recommended time and felt pliable even after it had fully set and cooled. Finally after 3 types of glue I gave up my failed attempt of assembling after curing. Even if you avoid this error, don't break your project because you won't be able to fix it. I'm a terrible amateur sculptor, but this adobe might be more suited to home protection than the average person's creative pursuits. Leave it to the experts and find non-toxic materials for kids to play with!
