Review on Enhance Your Gaming Experience with the Xbox 360 Headset by Meechie Camlin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Bad quality for no reason!

The ONLY reason I have 360 is to play online with my buddies. I don't like single player games so having a good headset is important. I thought Microsoft Orig. a headset would have sufficed, but I missed BOTH copies I bought. DESIGN/FEATURES Let's talk about how well (or not) this thing works. From what I've been told, the mic sounds clear and picks up my voice quite well. Background noise is also well suppressed. However, some of the headphones leave a lot to be desired. At full volume on all settings, I still have a hard time hearing people I'm sure are speaking in a normal voice. This annoys me, especially the in-game sound effects that are loud enough to drown out instructions or an important "There are two people behind you up the stairs" message. Plastic is cheap and while it's flexible I'm always afraid of breaking it (which has happened before). The foam on the earbuds is cheap and not very comfortable. Also, only people with very small heads will find it comfortable. I'm not a big guy but I feel like I have to be 12 again for this to fit well. I think that's your target audience? The first headset broke after about 4 months - it just didn't work anymore. The second headset began to detach from the connector without applying excessive force to it. WHY 2 STARS? - Low price (+) - Cheap assembly (-) - Poor sound quality (-) GENERAL My advice? Go on. Turtle Beach makes way better headsets for not much more than this. It will work in a pinch, but I can't say I'm impressed.
