For the price I think this is a great necklace, it doesn't look like any part is loose and the opals (most important to me) are clearly not real if you Look closely but they are more visible perception than many handcrafted opals. It's quite small, so it doesn't look like jewelry, and I think it might look expensive from afar. And I think it's very good that there are matching earrings from the same shop. Judging by how good these opals look I'll probably start collecting. However, the chain seemed ridiculously small to me and the small locking mechanism is so sluggish that it is very difficult to open. I recently ordered some new necklace chains as replacements, otherwise I would be very annoyed. I'm sure some people won't have the same problem, but unless you're a child or a very petite person, I'd bet you'll need to replace the chain unless you prefer your necklaces up.
