Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor quality and simple design

I gave this case 3 stars out of 5 because it's great for airflow and I have a 9700k. The case would have been better if it had been taller. One of the rubber pads on one of the legs came loose and had to be glued back on. One of the screw hole brackets in the case broke off and got stuck in the screw while I unscrewed the motherboard from the case to reinstall it in a better position. The dust filter is attached to the front so cannot be cleaned separately, and the plastic on it is very cheap. I'm not sure how easy it is to clean the dust filter, but it looks like you'll visually ruin the faceplate if you mess it up. The glass panel on the side does not fit perfectly. The hard drive bays in the case had to be compatible with more fans since it is an airflow case. Nobody brags about hard drives anyway, so I don't know why they even have slots next to the motherboard for the display. Definitely could have been a bigger and better case, especially for the $100+. There isn't even rubber to cover the holes that the wires go through. To make cable management look cleaner. They manage the front panel cables for you in advance though, so that's a good thing. The front panel looks very simple. The two fans on the front are barely bright enough to see through the dust filter. The 3.0 cable had a faulty pin hole that bent one of the pins on my new motherboard. I had to take a sewing needle and force open the hole in the HDMI 3.0 cable because it was almost covered, causing the pin on the motherboard to bend. Just a very cheap and lazy attempt. overpriced. Would be good for $50 including tax. I like it but not enough to recommend it 100+. Maybe if your components are hot and it's $50, that's great. If not, then go for the coolmaster h500m. I should have gotten this instead. The buttons on the front also feel very cheap. It's ridiculously cheap. You could put a pair of USB 2.0 on the front for more outlets. I don't know why they lowered the price. I've pointed out all the flaws, but it's still a decent case, just not at this price point. If you want good airflow and don't care about imperfections, then go for it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic controls
