I chose this pendant partly by theme (Tree of Life) and partly by color. As with natural objects such as stone, colors will vary. The stone in the picture is exactly what I was looking for. The stone that has arrived is very different and will conflict with the clothing for which it was intended. I'm keeping it to give to the same young lady for Christmas, but not to match a dress she's wearing to a big event next week. If you don't care about the color/hue of the stone I would give both thumbs up. The one in the photo is dark purple, mine is light purple. Still nice but not what I wanted. The workmanship was very good and I'm sure my granddaughter will love this necklace as a gift later this year.
