Makes beautiful cords, twister tutorial starts at 2:05. I make a lot of embellishments and you can use many different types of thread. I would recommend if you don't like the pencil method. Easy to use if you watch this video and do about 5 in a row. Maybe a bit pricey but I love sewing gadgets.
