This turned out to be easier to set up than I thought. The pictures in the instructions are clear. This stand is very solid - I have two 24" monitors on it and it stays where I put it. The only issue I had was that the two monitors almost rebalanced and fell face down. I have supported a very heavy artbook. on an inch stand at the back. If you can drill a hole in the table, I'd recommend using the two pieces that come with it as a clamp to hold it in place if you're using heavier monitors. Or the art book Taschen.
