It's great if you understand the installation.

A recent thunderstorm burned the old amplifier on our antenna so it was installed where the antenna input went in to avoid working 20 feet above the roof. An old fried amplifier remained attached to the antenna; The internal power supply and power entry key have been replaced with this product. The instructions were vague, but suggested (without mentioning it) some sort of male-to-male connection from the power supply key to the amp. In this case a rigid male-male connection fitting was used. The results were excellent: most of the channels lost when the old amp burned out returned, although the old amp (without power) stayed in place. Perhaps it would be better to lower the antenna and actually replace the dead amp with this one - this one is weatherproof so it can be done - but what a pain. At my age (80 years old), my doctor's prescription is "Don't climb on the roof!"
