I did quite a bit of research looking for ice cream containers for homemade ice cream and decided to try the rectangle shape. The size did fit on the shelf of the freezer drawer which saves me space in the main part of the freezer. I loved the colors. There is a different color lid on each container if you need to use more than one for different frozen treats. The lids are easy to remove. I find that the ice cream should sit out a bit before scooping so that is softens. The containers are sturdy, attractive looking and hold about a quart and a half of ice cream from a standard Cuisinart Ice Cream Machine. The great thing about this particular brand was the price for two containers which made it a better value than others on the market. I recommend these plastic containers.
