Worn once and it broke!

I have used goodie bobby pins and was sad that they changed the design of their product. I was hoping it would work but when I took it off one of the teeth was broken! I have thin, straight hair and all I did was create a fairly low ponytail (my hair isn't that long either, just below my shoulders). I really wanted them to work.
