Review on Convenient 6 Pack Small Digital Kitchen Timer with Magnetic Back, ON/Off Switch, and Count Up/Countdown Features by Peter Cruz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Home use is ok, commercial use. doubtful!

Order arrived on time as promised. No problem. These timers are pretty basic. They are identical to the timers I ordered over a year ago and were branded "Enflex". However, they were not marked, but exactly the same down to the last detail. I suspect they are mass produced and sold to various dealers who want to put their name on them. (or not) I ordered 6 pack. Batteries were NOT included in the listing so installing my own batteries was an easy task. 1 triple AAA for each. I will now say that my particular application for these timers is in the busy pizzeria kitchen. You will get used to it and abused with wet hands, flour, lots of heat and dripping. My first impression after putting the batteries in was that only 2 of them sound good. I need a good loud horn and 4 of these were kind of muted. For example when you put your finger on a small cut out hole where the sound comes out. Almost a deal breaker because when they lie flat on a surface the 'speaker' lies flat on whatever surface they lie on and it's even more muffled. The second problem is the magnet. They DO NOT have a strong magnet so placing them on a smooth vertical surface such as a desk will not work. B. a built-in fridge or freezer door. You just slide straight down. Especially if that door is clean and smooth, which I hope is! I took one home and put it on the fridge and it stuck pretty well but a light touch made it slide off. So in summary they work great they have big buttons and an on/off button to save battery and for home use I find them perfect but in a noisy pizzeria I need a stronger magnet and a louder sound. !

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • too stupid
