I did laser correction about 7 years ago. I still have 20/20 eyesight, but I've found that I have to squint a bit to see things further away, even the TV. I bought them a while back and got -0.50 and it just makes your vision a little bit clearer. Of course I don't need them for reading or anything like that. These pairs are a little greener than the picture and what I've received in the past but I still love them. This time it was -1.00 and it actually made me a little dizzy, but I'm used to it and almost don't want to stop wearing them. The only downside is that they can break if you're not careful. Don't put her to bed, try not to drop her. Actually it's like my 6th pair because I'm without a car right now, but the price couldn't be better
