Review on Grind Gourmet Travel Salt and Pepper Grinder Set - Original Pump & Grind Travel Gadgets, Spice Grinding Mill - Compact Salt Pepper Grinder, Includes Free Pep Spice and Salt by Wayne Moody

After purchasing the large Grind Gourmet set that I loved, I picked up this travel set and had a chance to try it on my Thanksgiving trip. Center stitch to prevent grinders from rattling against each other. The bag and steel grinders fit perfectly in your hand and easily fit in your pocket. However, compared to larger grinders, the smaller shaft and grinding hole require more pumps to produce enough salt or pepper. And since my large hands are almost completely wrapped around road grinders, they tend to cramp with repeated pumping (but not a problem with a large set). Also, all six women who tried it initially had trouble using it. But after the first press, pumping was much easier. Not sure if this is a design issue or due to lack of experience and not knowing how to press hard. But I found it worth noting that it requires a strong hand/hard initial push. After pressing, it sometimes sticks on the last press. So I remember to pull the end out before putting it in my pocket as I don't want the spring to stay compressed for a long time and lose its effectiveness. But apart from these small nuances, I am satisfied with my purchase. I just wish there could be more salt and pepper as I ran out of pepper by the third day. On long trips, I just take extra peppercorns and Himalayan salt with me in little tubes. =
