I first bought this as a tray for my bunny. It was a good size for her, but she grew quickly. When I bought it I knew I wasn't going to use the grille that came with it. A slatted or wire floor is not suitable for rabbit feet. When my rabbit was fully grown about a week later I just went to the little litter box in her cage but figured I could still use it as a hay bin. There are small clips on the back of the tray that secure it in the wire cage. The clamps didn't match my cage wire but they are perfect for the kennel I use as a play area. As you can see in the photo, I use a standard size litter box with cut hay over it in my play area. The clamps are even strong enough to hold my almost funny Dutch rabbit when she wants it.
