It held up well on a very rainy trip to the San Diego Zoo and Legoland. My kids stayed dry and the fleece lining provided an extra layer of warmth. Rolls up tightly after rain for easy backpack storage. They will work great by the end of the year. The sizing for Columbia seems to be smaller than most brands. My son who wears S in other brands wears XS in Colombia, another who wears XS wears XXS in Colombia.
