Smells great. It's hard to describe, but I recognized the smell immediately, but I don't know how. I sprayed it on a sponge and put it under the seat. It lasts about a week, but people behind the wheel get used to it and don't smell it. Whenever my husband gets in my car, he smells it every time. I recommend buying several that complement each other and alternate each time you spray the sponge. I don't spray carpet because I use it weekly and don't know what it's doing to my carpet. Although it could be good. Rubber mats do not appear to be damaged, just overflow getting inside.
