Update. When taking off the jacket, the watch strap fell apart. I reattached the strap and gave it a slight tug and the pins just popped out. The rubber band seems to keep the spring from bouncing. I tried cutting the strap off a little, which seemed to help, but the strap doesn't slide into the pin, it grabs it, so when the strap pulls to the side, the pin pops out and goodbye watch. I bought this as a replacement strap for a cheap Casio dive watch. I bought one from Walmart but it was very stiff and didn't fit well around my wrist. This strap was easy to attach to the watch, it was quite rubbery and flexible. The only thing that can be improved are the small fastening straps. Although one of them is semi-fixed, both tend to wander around a bit. However, I am very happy with the watch strap, especially for the price.
