This is a good buff, but not the best. Lambswool is best for the best polishing experience, and at a premium price. For everyday use shine, the Oreck Polishing Pad is great at a price that won't break the bank. This pad imparts a beautiful, strong semi-glass like shine, which is different from the glossy, high gloss finish you get with a floor polisher instead of a buff. You may need to know the difference between a floor polisher and a floor polisher. The bottom buffer runs at a much lower RPM, around 750 RPM, resulting in more torque. With increased torque, each great floor buffer has powerful torque to thoroughly clean virtually any surface. A floor wiper acting as a floor polisher will bring a shine to even the most worn floor. But for a mirror-smooth high gloss that you can see shining on some stone floors, you need a floor polisher. A floor polisher spins almost twice as fast as your floor workhorse, but this often comes with a big compromise. Yes, the floor polisher rotates faster, but it is more sensitive to adverse floor conditions. At these much higher speeds, the floor polisher is much more sensitive to the condition of the surface it is being used on. When used on a buffing machine, this pad gives better results simply because; higher polishing speeds. However, when used on a plain Oreck buffer, this pad still produces a respectable semi-gloss finish, similar to the sheen of a quality stone and wood floor.
