Review on πŸ“Ί ANTOP Flat Panel AT-413BC5 Outdoor/Attic/RV TV Antenna with Built-in Smartpass Amplifier and 2-Way Signal Splitter | Compact Design for Easy Installation, Eye-Catching Appearance | Ideal for Feeding 2 TVs by Jim Ball

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Don't trust others. No FM reception. Poor UHF reception.

Not at all what I expected. I recently fired up DirecTV and bought a 1-to-1 indoor antenna ($24.99) that delivers remarkable UHF signal strength. But then I learned about the limitations of VHF for most HD antennas. I started buying a UHF/VHF combo antenna to receive my local NBC feed and settled on this highly rated Antop for $45.99. After installing and rescanning the channels on my TV the only change was that the reception was worse on my UHF channels and NO VHF YET. The difference was so amazing. An antenna that cost almost twice as much and required 10 times the installation effort produced a significantly poorer signal quality. Each antenna picked up 18 channels. The average signal strength of the 1-on-1 antenna per channel was impressive at 4.42 out of 5. The average for this Antop model averaged 2.83 per channel, and several channels couldn't be seen due to the granularity of the signal. I can't understand why it has such high ratings. Shady. Very shady. I filled out the declaration the same day. Don't waste your time or money.
