EXCELLENT WATCH BUT DISPOSABLE. It is almost impossible to replace the batteries. Yes, I said "batteries". It has a regular CR1220 and a tiny battery underneath. The battery has a plate with two small screws holding it in place. I got really frustrated trying to put the screws back on and I'm a computer technician who has disassembled and reassembled many laptops with lots of small screws. I didn't even know they made such small screws. Not to mention the watch and battery will slip while you're trying to screw the screw in. Very frustrating. In the end I was only able to reassemble it by removing the straps from the watch, gluing it to the table, gluing the battery and battery plate to the watch, after which I could screw in the tiny screws, hold the screw with a small needle nose pliers and tighten with your other hand. After all this the clock was NOT working YET! So it must have been that another smaller battery had failed. The CR1220 battery costs $8. If I had to replace BOTH batteries it would be almost the cost of a new watch and it would certainly be a lot more expensive to send it in for service or take it to a jeweler. That's why I say it's a disposable watch. If he dies, you'll have to buy another one. If you don't mind buying a new watch every two years, buy this watch. Other than that, MY WIFE LOVES THIS WATCH! In the last two years she has received so many wonderful comments about it. That's why I gave it three stars and ordered another one right away!
