I think the product is excellent quality and inventive. It has many great features with easy setup and storage. However, I have tried to get my 115 lb golden retriever to use it multiple times without stressing her and it just hasn't been possible. I noticed that the stairs weren't wide enough for a person her size to comfortably climb the stairs. I walked her with and without a leash and she fell off the top step. She was better off on a leash as I kept her close to me but she seemed intimidated by it. I know it takes practice but if you don't have a comfortable base it won't work. After a few times I felt like it just wasn't going to help and sent it back. I was also looking for a wider pitch and found it here at Pet Gear's Revain. It only has two wide carpet steps and I think I can try. They seem to give more freedom of movement. Full disclosure, my Golden weighs 115 pounds and is almost 13 years old. I'm sure there are a few factors that affect weight/age. I remember she running and jumping into every open SUV door for a ride. My intention was for her to enjoy her car rides. This is a good product and can be great for small and/or young dogs.
