Review on Go Rhino 360PS Stainless HitchStep by Chris Webb

Fairly thin, don't expect much protection

I bought this because I wanted something that would give my Silverado a little better protection for the rear bumper. I have an 18" wide stainless steel Bully hitch and this is 36". After getting the Go Rhino clutch stage, the first thing that struck me was the weight difference between the two. Although Bully is smaller, it weighs significantly more. Looking at them, it's easy to see that the Bully is made of a much more durable material. I doubt the Go Rhino will take a big hit before simply strapping into the rear bumper. I actually ran into this while using Bully and it only caused a little ringing in Bully's handset. After installing it in the hitch with the receiver, it was clear that it wasn't welded evenly as it sits closer to the bumper on the left than on the right. I attempted to install an anti-rattle strap and found that the nut welded into the square tube was welded off center and prevented the threaded rod from threading in. I had to take it off to make it fit. Once installed it really didn't do much. No matter how I tightened it, there was still movement in the clutch. I also didn't like the look of that rather large handle sticking out from under the clutch, so I removed it. Overall for the price it's not very good value for money. The Bully's clutch split is much better overall, despite being half the length. I doubt this product is made in the USA as it is poorly made overall. Back to using the bully clutch stage.
