Review on Enhance Your Gaming Experience with Timorn GBA SP Shell Replacement - Blue Pack by Scott Ward

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good first resale experience.

This was my first reshell experience. I didn't comb through the case with a fine-toothed comb before assembling it, so I can't be sure I didn't create a few minor imperfections in the top half of the case, but I can't quite see how I would have done it All in all, everything fits together very well and looks very nice. The body seems solid. I reused the OEM bolts because I thought they were better quality and I'm not sure I got all the right bolts anyway. The screwdrivers worked great and I needed another three-pronged one. I also reused the light guide for the power/charge indicator as the OEM was more transparent plastic. I used the buttons that came with it, which wasn't my intention, but they looked really good so I figured why not. In the end I didn't change the protective film, but it was gray and the lettering was slightly different. If my screen was scratched I wouldn't hesitate to use it. The hinges were difficult to install and installed all the way back. If your hinge covers aren't flush with the frame or the screen isn't holding up, go back and make sure the two tabs on the inside end of the hinges go all the way. For this, everything has to fit together. It was the only thing I had to go back and redo. Although in general it is difficult to work with this ribbon cable. All in all, it worked out very well and I'm very happy with the end result. I will try this brand again if I decide to make it a hobby.
