I bought this ushanka hat as a Christmas gift for my friend in Vancouver, B.C. He's an avid hiker and backpacker who snowshoes in the Alpine back country in winter months. He wore the hat on one of the coldest, snowiest Sundays in the new year, and he was impressed by how warm it kept his head, face, and neck. He said that despite working up a sweat, the hat remained dry and very comfortable. He sent me photos from the trail, and the hat looks great on him! I'm so glad knowing he'll get a lot of good use out of this hat.The hat was delivered to me quickly (in fact, sooner than promised), and came in a very nice, nylon, zip lock pouch with a printed logo, which made a nice presentation as a gift, and will enable it to be stored nicely through warmer months. It is very well made with high quality materials. I was particularly glad that the hat is made from synthetic materials which wick sweat away from the skin, and are breathable as well as water resistant. Who wants to hike with a soggy, wet hat? Not a problem with this one! The only thing I wish was that the front upper faux fur visor could be unsnapped and flipped down to serve as a hard visor or brim, but it is only decorative. The plush faux fur is very good looking and very soft to the touch, and adds to the stylish appeal of this hat. The detachable protector for the nose and mouth will be very useful on windy days with blowing snow. This is an excellent product. Order with confidence!
