In short, I liked it, but the hum was unbearable for me. It was perfect except for one small quirk I couldn't handle. As you can see, the "remote control" is your phone, and it works very well. I think it's pretty light in here and my room is about 10 feet high and about 20 feet by 15 feet. It has a very good range of settings, from a wide range of colors and brightness to laser brightness and rotation speed. One thing that bothered me was that I couldn't stop the "fog" from spinning. Then this little thing went wrong. I think the rotating machine was making an annoying whirring noise. I realized the problem was in the mechanism because when I turned off the rotation of the laser, the sound dropped a bit. I had to send it back and got a new one. Not from the same company, because the description does not guarantee quiet operation either. This is a big deal when you're trying to fall asleep with that cryptic contemplation. I wish it was quieter. For other things and tranquility is not a problem would definitely recommend.
