There's probably a good reason why this is Oster's longest line of blades. In use, I notice that it loses some "clarity" with shorter cuts. It's also annoyingly easy to pierce your head with your teeth when training due to the much greater thickness. However, it still works great and the quality and speed achieved is almost unparalleled when compared to plastic combs. If you need speed without loss of quality, this is what you need. If speed is not so important, a comb is a very reasonable and viable alternative for this length. But even then I would stick with Auster.
