Wow, what a coat! If you're looking for an extreme weather coat, this is it. He lays down great. It's soft on the inside and waterproof on the outside. Compared to other winter coats, this coat is thin but VERY warm. When I put it on my Chihuahua, he immediately melted into him. Follow the size chart. I was concerned about the size and ordered a size up as the coat could not be returned. I figured I could get a needle and thread and make adjustments easier than being stuck with an expensive jacket that might be too small. But I found they would be just right if I order the right size, but it's ok, they still work fine. In fact, I just added extra drawstrings to tighten the hood in certain places and the hood popped up when you didn't need it. I bought a second one for my cavapoo and she is happily walking in hers. Now I can take them for a walk on North Easter without feeling sorry for them. :)
