Short USB-C cable design flaw

UPDATE: NEVER BUY THIS! Update: Becomes more sensitive to the point where vibrations from the table cause the display to dim. Plugging the USB hard drive into the hub caused both monitors to lose power and turn off, and all desktop elements were realigned to the laptop's desktop. I'm buying a replacement right now because I know now that it will most likely fail sooner rather than later. Is she working? Yes Works well? no Monitors crackle when device is lightly touched. At first I thought it was the HDMI ports to the unit because I lightly touched one of them and both monitors lost connection. Now I know the problem is the movement of the device and the USB-C cable. When I turn off, it doesn't necessarily cut power to the monitors so they don't turn off. Disconnecting the HDMI cable and reconnecting it does not solve the problem, only disconnecting the device from the laptop. I've had this device since March and so far it hasn't completely failed, but my confidence in this device is extremely low due to the temperamental nature of the device on a day-to-day basis. I find that using such a very short USB-C cable that is permanently attached to the device causes connectivity issues when the HDMI cable is moved. Because the USB-C cable is so short, each end of the USB-C connection is more affected when moved. The problem of constantly powering the monitor after turning off the laptop is a completely different problem. At this point I would NOT recommend this product for the money spent.
