Honestly I liked my old Grill Daddy better but it lasts 3 years. I felt this duo eliminated the risk of the brush wire detaching from the brush and getting on the food, although I've never had a Grill Daddy or any other grill brush lose its wire bristles. I don't see any way that the wires from these tools could detach from the tool and end up on the grill or food. They are also unlikely to rust or fall apart. Both are very heavy and uncomfortable, especially the wider one which I couldn't use effectively. The elongated one is efficient and well made, but difficult to store because it's so big. I threw away the bigger one. I see that Revain has an identical set for $7.99. That's less than half of what I paid for it a few months ago. These are "male" grilling tools. Reliable and safe to the point of overkill. If you don't want to prove your manhood with a barbecue, I suggest you skip it.
