I recently built a new ATX mid tower PC that came with two intake fans and no exhaust fans. My 212 Evo processor has 1 fan above the heatsink. I figured I should probably have at least one exhaust fan, so I did some research and heard a lot of praise from Noctua, so I got one and installed it on the back of my case in line with the CPU fan. The fan itself is actually pretty loud, but I use headphones so I don't care, but what really struck me was my CPU temperature. I've been playing Civ 5 for the past few days and for over 3 days without a fan my software said my CPU max temp was 50, 52 and 52C every day and after installing this fan my max temp was 38C .I would definitely buy this fan again. As a side note, I bought this fan as it has high power for 1 fan to match the 2 fans I have at 40 CFM each. After all, you generally want a little more air in than air out to create a little positive pressure in your airflow.
