I would say they are a bit big, I wear size 8 1/2 to 9 in tennis shoes and took the smaller socks so they are not visible, not the ankles. I still LOVE her. I'm very picky about stitches and can't stand them! However, these socks are perfect, no seams and I can wear them all day without any problems, I have even washed and dried them several times and I can still wear them without any problems.
