I've had a basic Chase-Harper motorcycle cover for almost 20 years. It did what I needed - covered the bike and protected it from sun, rain etc. We had a big hurricane this spring and my bike got blown away by the wind (!). My old cap ripped in the process, so I ordered this as a replacement in July. It arrived on time, but I wasn't in town until early August, and I started getting used to it on August 10th. When not on the bike it was stored in a bag and overall I feel it has been used with care. Last night I put a cover on my bike and it ripped - big hole. Walked like paper for about 12 inches or so. I'm going to glue/sew it on as a temporary fix, but the material already feels a little "fragile" and I have a feeling it's going to tear even more. It's in the sun part of the day when the bike is parked, but it's in the exact same spot it's been parked for the last few years and the old cover was fine until the 350 pounds blew it away in the wind became. The dual sport is over - the clutch on the back of my SUV ripped off the old cover. If this is going to be used in a garage or shed hopefully it will last longer. I think I'll have to look for another cover.
