Welded straight out of the box, will it work the same outside?

I took this out of the box, wrapped it around my neck and sat in my living room with the fan on and I immediately felt cooler. A bit noisy but chilly and can't wait to try it outside in the 90-100 plus degrees we're dealing with. The time will show.
