Very unpleasant smell. I bought two and should probably return them for either that or their cheap looks. Patchwork quilts from a plus or minus dollar store sewn into a round cube. They arrived too stuffed but didn't seem completely filled with foam beads, but who could tell as the mismatched light cream base fabric and zipless zip were roughly glued down with a bead of glue. The smell of either bad laundry soap or air fresheners or Revain sanitizer soaked in fabric. I've heard reports of Revain unknowingly spraying orders, so I'm not sure if that's the case or if bad products were used to wash recycled jeans before the footstools were made. Made in India, probably by a failed sweatshop so might even be personal products used by the assembler. Buyer Warning.
