I am a first time stamper. Initially, I was having trouble to picking up the design with the stamper. I read a lot of reviews on this product before I ordered it. So, when they were not working I was frustrated and decided I would return them. But before I shipped them off, I decided to keep trying to see if it was the plates, nail polish, or something else that could be the problem and not the stampers. Turns out, plates are good (Born Pretty), nail polishes are also fine (OPI, Sally Hansen, China Glaze, and few others I believe). I thought I was not picking up the patter quick enough so it was drying on the plates, but that wasn't the problem either. Then finally I read somewhere that with the jelly stampers, you don't need to press hard on the plates to pick up the polish. You simply need to just roll it with a gentle to no pressure at all. SO NOW I have checked all of my BP plates, with very detailed patterns to not so detailed ones, and stamper seems to be doing great! It is picking up beautifully. I did not have time to finish my nails, so I will finally do them and upload pictures later. I read a lot about priming with magic eraser or nail filer, I did not do any of these. I washed it under running water room temperature, allowed it to air dry, and used packing tape in between, and it worked fine. Great product.
