Comes in nice outer packaging. It's black in the tassel on the front, it says 'Queen' and the brand name (DUcare). It is sealed with a plastic wrap around it. There is a red thread that unfolds to open. As the rope unwinds, the cardboard part with the rope lifts up and you can see that it's lightly glued to the black box. (see photos). Once that's off it's a black box with the top lifted and the bottom attached with red tape on the side. The brushes are covered with a thick piece of plastic. Under the plastic part is a leaflet describing each brush and of course the brushes themselves. The brushes are held by a plastic shelf that has space for each brush. The plastic feels black velvety. So it has a beautiful elegant appearance. The brushes looked a bit dusty around the handles, which I didn't like that much, but that didn't matter since I always wash my brushes before using them anyway. The brushes have black handles, gold tips and red bristles. They are light. The tips are marked "DU” in black. There are no labels on the handles. This surprised me because DUcare brushes usually have labels on the handles with the brush name and/or brush number. Honestly, I love DUcare brushes. I've tried a TON of their kits and almost always love them. There were a few kits that I didn't find as good as their other kits, but for the most part I'm very happy with them. I expected a lot from this set. As I said, I have tried many DUcare brushes and I know they make quality brushes. This set comes with 12 brushes and retails for $69.99 (at the time of this review). In my opinion, DUcare has always made quality brushes at a very affordable price. I got their 27 piece set for $28.99 (usually $39.99). $28.99 or even the full price of $39.99 for 27 brushes! Compared to this $69.99 set of 12 brushes! A set of 27 high quality brushes. I love them and use them daily. Considering this set of 12 brushes cost $69.99, I expected them to be even better quality! I was a bit disappointed... You get 12 brushes The Powder Brush is a medium sized fluffy brush. A little tight. "Basic brush" - a flat foundation brush. "Contour Brush" is a beveled brush. This shape works well for blush, bronzer and contours. "Concealer Brush" - a standard flat brush for concealer. I would call it a big concealer brush. The Blending Brush is a fluffy blending brush. "Brush for the nose contour" - fluffy brush beveled. Suitable for applying shadows or contouring the nose. Eyeshadow Brush-L - I think the "L" in the name means it's a large eyeshadow brush. This is a fluffy eyeshadow brush. It is pinched so that it is flat but rounded. It works well for applying eye shadow exactly where you want it, e.g. B. in the crease of the eyelid, and also allows you to hide it. With my small, half-closed eyes, I like brushes of this shape. Eyeshadow Brush-M - I think the "M" in the name means it's a medium eyeshadow brush. This is the same as "L" but slightly smaller. "Eyeshadow Brush-S" - I think the "S" in the name means it's a small eyeshadow brush. This one is really small. It's flat and pointed, like an "L" and "M" brush, but the bristles are very short, so it's very thick. It's like a little brush for blending. This shape is usually good for applying eyeshadow to the lower lash line. Eyebrow Brush - An angled brow brush. The fan brush is a large fan brush. thinner and slightly shorter hair. It is suitable for lips and to cover blemishes. I also like these shapes to reduce my wrinkles. I'm a makeup freak and I love makeup brushes! I have a range of them from very affordable to very expensive. I have amazing synthetic and natural hair. i love both There are really affordable brushes out there that are better quality and work better than the very expensive ones I've tried and vice versa. When it comes to synthetic brushes, there's one thing I don't like - an overly synthetic feel. If you've tried different makeup brushes, you probably know what I mean. They feel so silky. They are very soft but so silky that they don't hold the product well. When it comes to powder products, the powder simply crumbles. When using creams or liquids it's usually better to use synthetic brushes as they don't pick up as much product. But if they have that overly synthetic feel, that silky feel, then they tend to just move the product around instead of actually blending it. product is good. They're really soft, those overly synthetic, silky-feeling brushes are always very soft. Too bad they don't keep the product well. When it comes to powder, they're terribly attached to it. It picks up the product well, but when you move the brush to use it, the product falls off very easily. I always like to shake the brush off to remove excess product before using it. But I can't do that with these silky brushes because if I tap the brush all the product just falls off. So I always have to be very careful when dipping the brushes into the product so I don't pick up too much and then I have to be very careful when moving the brush to where I want to use it so the product stays on it . It's just a pain and I don't feel the need to bother with it as there are so many amazing brushes that are affordable but stick to the product well. Liquid and creamy products are slightly better, but still not great. They usually just advertise the product. Unlike most synthetic brushes, they don't pick up product. They just find it difficult to work the product into their skin. You push him around. You can end up mixing it up, but that takes more effort than necessary. Well, I just don't like those overly synthetic, silky brushes. And like I said, all of these brushes have that feel and they work just like silk brushes. The hair appeared to be trimmed evenly for the most part, except for the powder brush and some small areas on the contour brush. With a powder brush, one side is evenly cut off. On the other hand, the hair is cut very unevenly. There's even a piece with much shorter hair. I tried to take a photo that shows it as best as possible. Using a contour brush it was trimmed fairly evenly, except for one spot where there was slightly shorter hair on the outer edge, but it wasn't too bad. All in all this is a nice set. But the brushes look cheap. Lightweight, plastic. Hair feels too synthetic, too silky to not absorb powder products and only push liquid and creamy products. They're just not good quality. Not even average quality. I hate to say this because I love DUcare brushes, but as I said, there are some sets that I didn't like and this is definitely one of them. If I had received these brushes and not known they were DUcare I would have never guessed! They just don't match their usual brush sets. And that's unacceptable at $69.99. I cannot recommend these. If you're just buying them because they look good on the street and you're not going to use them, then I say go for it. But if you really want to use them, I advise you to skip them and go for the DUcares 27-piece set instead. It's cheaper and better quality, unlike this one which is poor quality but expensive!
