This product is slightly more expensive than other similar products of the same quality. However, after trying several brands, this particular one stands out clearly from the rest. First of all, the automatic motion detection "lights on" works very well wherever you turn on the light. I was a little confused at first as it only works in the dark! BUT? Great feature and well thought out. The next and most important thing is the battery life. Others held an indictment for no more than 24 hours! I've been using my first set of 6 for over 30 days now and they're still working (in a car mounted cabinet). The lighting turns on automatically and stays on as long as motion is detected. After 20 seconds of inactivity, it turns off, which significantly extends battery life. I recommend this product to everyone. I ordered a few more and lit up all the shelves in my library. It's so beautiful I can't decide between using the on/off feature or the auto option!
