After trying several cheaper alternatives, we finally settled on these heavier aluminum folding steps. Couldn't be happier; I only wish we had done it sooner and not wasted money on others. They have worked great for us and our 2017 Toyota Highlander and 85lb Lab Retriever. They are strong, well made and while not very light, light enough for my wife and I to handle with ease. At first our dog was reluctant to try this, probably due to mistakes made in the previous steps. but with a little persuasion and treats, she's now bouncing up and down those steps happily and effortlessly. They're wide and stable, staying secure as she paces up and down. We have received many compliments and requests and can only recommend it.
