It has become one of my favorite kitchen utensils.

I use this kitchen tool almost every day (sometimes more than once). I was skeptical when I received it as the parts look and feel very light. But he remembered how cheap it was. So far it has exceeded all my expectations! Clean up is easy as there are so many hidden spots for food to get to. I have washed everything except the top pressure piece either by hand or in the dishwasher with no problem. The pressure part that rotates the blade does not come into contact with food, so it does not need to be cleaned or immersed in water. 3 blades are very sharp. I don't think this tool holds up to cutting large chunks of things like hard cheese, but I've put in small cubes of aged cheese with sauces and it did a great job. We have salad for lunch almost every day and I keep about a cup of salad ready. In the evening I chop up the reserved salad a little with this chopper. Then add 1-8 oz. Place a block of cream cheese, which I diced into about 8 cubes, in a bowl and "chop" until combined. Prepares a delicious, light snack for vegetables in the evening! Making salsa with fresh ingredients is incredibly quick and easy. I also found that I could put whole, unpeeled cloves of garlic in a bowl and jab the blade a few times. The shell comes off and can be easily removed from the bowl. Update: I'm still using my original purchase. There are no problems with mine. I recently bought one and sent it to my daughter and 15 year old niece who is just starting to cook.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Good, but not great
